Yaxley Parish Council is presently investigating the possibility of 20mph zones to deter speeding in specific built-up areas. At this stage we would like to hear from residents if there are certain streets in Yaxley that they feel should become 20 mph zones. Throughout the month of August we will be running a public consultation on possible areas, please complete the following survey (you may have to cut and paste the link to your browser!)

Paper surveys will be available from the Parish Council office and at the library. Any potential scheme would be put forward to Cambridgeshire County Council for consideration, the next window for applications we believe is early next year. At the same time, we will be speaking with other areas in Cambridgeshire where these zones have been implemented to see how they are working.
