Lots of fun was had by all who attended the Yaxley Countryside Volunteers Apple Day 2024 celebrations. In spite of a very wet start to the day many people came out to join in. Tours were given of the Community Orchard, with demonstrations of pruning and talks on taking care of fruit trees. There were activities in the Amenity Centre and free samples which were most delicious!
We were delighted to be joined by the Handmade Theatre Company who performed their show Puppet Petting Farm, delighting and entertaining all who attended.
Thank you to all the volunteers who make Apple Day such a great success each year and YCV for looking after the orchard all year round.
