A15 at the junction with Lodge Way and the Yaxley turn
We’ve been informed that three-way traffic lights will be in operation on the A15 at the junction with Lodge Way and the Yaxley turn from Friday 13th June to Tuesday 17th June. This is to allow urgent repair works by Anglian Water, who have identified a major leak beneath the new road. The exact location of the problem on the carriageway can be seen in the picture below.
While the Parish Council is relieved that action is finally being taken to address the persistent water flow down the Waterslade ditch, we are also deeply frustrated by the delay. The issue was first reported months ago by the Parish Council to both Anglian Water and the Cambridgeshire County Flood Team. Despite multiple site visits, extensive correspondence, and our own investigations, the concerns raised were initially dismissed and left unresolved.
We sincerely hope the repairs are completed swiftly and with minimal disruption. More importantly, we look forward to seeing a lasting solution to the ongoing water issue in the ditch—though only time will tell.
