Thank you to everyone who came along to the community litter pick on Tuesday 28th August. After lots of hard work and a lot of full bags the Rec was cleared up after the bank holiday weekend.
We had an extra treat following the litter pick with a performance of ‘ The Old Gren Time Machine’ by Fern and Rachel of the Coalesce Dance Theatre with their story of two intrepid and quirky time travellers and in a race to save the world. The show was followed by a stay and play session with Fern and Rachel. We had a great turn out and will be hosting more community theatre in the coming months.
Our next community litter pick will be on Monday 23rd October, meet 9.30am at the Pavilion. If you cant make that date and would still like to be part of this amazing group of people, then we can provide you with the equipment and bags to do your own litter pick. We are so fortunate to have some wonderful residents in Yaxley that have incorporated litter picks into their weekly routine and we are very grateful to them.
